Changing jobs, having a baby and moving home. We all know that baby's on its way but did you know that I moved this WE? Well not quite "This WE", it's more like I've been moving for the past month! We decided to do everything ourselves : for Delphine all the carrying of heavy loads and for me the organization and coordination of the whole project. OF course not!!! Think I'm mad or something!!!??? Delphine had a deck chair on the terrace with multivitamin cocktails and canapés while I packed, carried, dragged, lifted, pushed, shoved, swore, broke, strained and drove two full lorries of "stuff" half of which will stay in boxes and forever be forgotten in the basement. I'm exhausted. So much so that when I wake up in the morning after my 8 hours of total comatic sleep, I feel as if my body has been doing something else than resting all night and come 12pm I already feel like I've been up for 16 hours. My coffee consumption has decupled, I can't stay concentrated for more than 3 minutes and ask anybody, I look as bad as I feel. Never again, next move it'll be done by professionals. This is why we have money, to spend it on useful things like buying our wives and girlfriends presents, paying other people to do our menial but indispensable tasks which includes moving. Delphine's a bit tired too. Fate will probably have us change jobs next year to make it a hatrick.
